Full-Time Psychiatrist

Yellowbrick is seeking to hire a full-time Psychiatrist capable of conducting expert diagnostic and risk assessments, pharmaco-genomically informed psychopharmacology, as well as individual, group and family therapy. Experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation preferred and interest in neuromodulation technologies essential. The successful candidate will be working with adolescents and emerging adults within the Open Setting Therapeutic Community which is the platform for Residential, PHP and IOP treatment at Yellowbrick.

Neuroscience Associate
Yellowbrick, Evanston, Illinois

The Neuroscience Associate is a staff person working across multiple divisions within Yellowbrick including The Center for Clinical Neuroscience, The Assessment Center and Research. The Neuroscience Associate organizes and implements assessment and treatment using QEEG, CANTAB cognitive assessment, Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Neurofeedback, Alpha Stimulation, and other neuromodulatory technologies. The Neuroscience Associate also administers, scores, enters and analyzes assessment and outcome data for internal and external uses. This position collaborates with the full clinical staff at Yellowbrick to provide a fully integrative clinical treatment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a professional and responsive presence within all contacts with patients, families and colleagues.
  • Works collaboratively and effectively communicates with all Yellowbrick staff.
  • Reviews the assessment data regarding each prospective patient.
  • Schedules and administers the quantitative EEG and neuro-cognitive testing for each patient in assessment.
  • Coordinates with Professional Staff & consultants whose expertise is integrated into the assessment process.
  • Reports findings of the neuro-cognitive testing verbally and in writing to the Assessment team prior to the Collaboration Conference.
  • Prepares the Acti-Wave technology for use in the Collaboration Conference. Processes the data and provides timely reports on RSA functioning for each new assessment.
  • Reviews treatment plans and follows up with patients to schedule those for whom neuromodulation treatment with dTMS or neurofeedback is prescribed. Monitors attendance and communicates directly both verbally and in writing to the Medical Director and responsible Professional Staff regarding patient attendance.
  • Follows Policy & Procedure regarding assessments and treatments and comments on the need for revisions in policy. Documents all services provided in the EHR.
  • Administers deepTMS treatments under supervision and records all necessary data regarding treatments in the EHR and logs.
  • Provides documentation of services provided and outcome measures in formats which serve clinical, research and organizational purposes.
  • Administers neurofeedback under supervision treatments and records all necessary data regarding treatments in the EHR and logs.
  • Follows up and documents patient report on the use of direct transcranial stimulation devices prescribed for Yellowbrick patients.
  • Trains and supervises additional Yellowbrick staff who administer dTMS and/or neurofeedback.
  • Trains and supervises interns or other trainees who administer dTMS and/or neurofeedback.
  • Provides publications and research materials from the scientific literature as requested by Yellowbrick leadership.
  • Participates in training programs and other professional development activities as directed by Yellowbrick leadership, in addition to self-learning, which enhance level of expertise and/or broaden the range of knowledge.
  • Participates as requested by the Director of Research in literature review, development of studies, administration of assessment measures, administration of investigational treatments and all other aspects of research activities within Yellowbrick.
  • Prepare Assessment Packets and keep measures in stock.
  • Enter all data on existing Excel Spreadsheets, including QEEG, RSA, annual meeting and other organizational data. Maintain and update data files up to date for every new patient.
  • Set up RSA equipment for each assessment patient then download the data, score it, and write up the findings within 3-5 business days.
  • Track transitions and ongoing evaluations from Census document then distribute appropriate measures to staff and patients. Score data, enter data on spreadsheets and do statistics as indicated by Director of Research.
  • For post-treatment follow-ups, email patients the follow-up letter and measures, notify Business Office for payment if they return questionnaires, and enter all data on appropriate spreadsheets. Analyze data as directed.
  • Do statistical analyses for presentations as determined Director of Research.
  • Prepare graphs, posters, and articles as directed.
  • Is knowledgeable and abides by all ethical principles and guidelines for clinical and research activities with especial emphasis on informed consent and confidentiality.
  • Participates in Yellowbrick clinical activities such as Community Meeting as requested in order to appreciate the treatment model within which the Neuroscience Associate conducts his/her responsibilities.
  • Participates in Yellowbrick marketing activities as requested.

About the Role:  

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be a detail oriented and driven professional with a proven track record of success in the mental health treatment space.  The Director will be responsible for generating and executing an annual Strategic Marketing Plan.  In addition, the position requires the ability to analyse and synthesise market data and conduct competitive analysis to guide leadership to design and implement new programs, services and strategies.

Responsibilities:  
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Yellowbrick to identify strategies to successfully promote the program nationally
  • Build solid relationships with local and national professional referral sources including private practitioners, hospitals, and other appropriate mental health providers
  • Manage a small staff of sales representatives
  • Conduct regular meetings to review progress towards meeting goals of Strategic Marketing Plan
  • Research emerging trends, conduct market analysis and recommend strategies to the Yellowbrick leadership team
  • Select automation software and software platforms to best meet Yellowbrick needs

Candidate requirements:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance or Social Services; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Proven business development, sales or marketing experience

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuro-psychoanalytic Psychotherapy & The Developmental Neurobiological Model
Yellowbrick, Evanston, Illinois

Yellowbrick is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for a 2-year fellowship to begin in September 2020. The purpose of the fellowship is to provide in-depth training and experience conducting intensive psychotherapy organized around the principles of the emerging research integrating developmental neurobiology and modern psychoanalytic approaches.

The Fellow will be a member of the assessment team, and provide individual, group and family therapies under senior professional supervision. The Fellow will participate in the assessment, treatment and research activities of Yellowbrick’s Center for Clinical Neuroscience with exposure to quantitative EEG, pharmaco-genomic testing, cognitive assessment and enhancement, and neuromodulation techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation and neurofeedback. Development of a research project or participation in ongoing Yellowbrick research is encouraged and supported. Fellows are supervised by senior psychologists and learn from multiple expert colleagues as they function as full members among Yellowbrick’s Professional Staff.

Yellowbrick is affiliated with the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. We are also strategic clinical partners with The Menninger Clinic, Austen Riggs Center and Hazelden Foundation.

Strong interest in the integration of neuroscience and in-depth psychotherapies is essential. Candidate must have completed all coursework and research for the PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, as well as a full-time clinical internship (APA preferred) in psychological assessment and treatment.
