Professional Staff

Yellowbrick is seeking to hire an experienced and licensed clinical psychologist or social worker with additional training in individual and/or family therapy for a full-time Professional Staff position. The successful candidate will be working with adolescents and emerging adults within the Open Setting Therapeutic Community which is the platform for Intensive Outpatient Treatment at Yellowbrick.

Effective treatment at Yellowbrick requires of Professional Staff a collaborative spirit, capacity to utilize support in the face of uncertainty and risk, willingness to embrace multiple forms of intervention within a coherent framework and model, and comfort with transparency linked with the professional challenges and mission of Yellowbrick. Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuro-psychoanalytic Psychotherapy & The Developmental Neurobiological Model
Yellowbrick, Evanston, Illinois

Yellowbrick is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for a 2-year fellowship to begin in September 2020. The purpose of the fellowship is to provide in-depth training and experience conducting intensive psychotherapy organized around the principles of the emerging research integrating developmental neurobiology and modern psychoanalytic approaches.

The Fellow will be a member of the assessment team, and provide individual, group and family therapies under senior professional supervision. The Fellow will participate in the assessment, treatment and research activities of Yellowbrick’s Center for Clinical Neuroscience with exposure to quantitative EEG, pharmaco-genomic testing, cognitive assessment and enhancement, and neuromodulation techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation and neurofeedback. Development of a research project or participation in ongoing Yellowbrick research is encouraged and supported. Fellows are supervised by senior psychologists and learn from multiple expert colleagues as they function as full members among Yellowbrick’s Professional Staff.

Yellowbrick is affiliated with the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. We are also strategic clinical partners with The Menninger Clinic, Austen Riggs Center and Hazelden Foundation.

Strong interest in the integration of neuroscience and in-depth psychotherapies is essential. Candidate must have completed all coursework and research for the PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, as well as a full-time clinical internship (APA preferred) in psychological assessment and treatment. Core Competence Staff

Yellowbrick is an innovative behavioral healthcare program located in the heart of Evanston that maintains a Residence for emerging adults aged about 18-early 30’s. We are seeking energetic candidates to provide daily support, structure, guidance and skills training in all areas of daily living. We are currently recruiting for coverage of all shifts with occasional overnight as needed and weekends. Top candidates will possess a mature disposition, sense of confidence, emotional stability; have excellent communication skills, knowledge of human behavior and development. You will need to be able to function independently with good judgment and serve as a helpful team member. Experience in mental health and psychology-major individuals preferred.

Yellowbrick is a national referral center for the treatment of troubled adolescents and emerging adults. The role of core competence staff (CCS) is an optimal opportunity for immersion within a trauma informed developmental neurobiological model of intensive treatment.

Yellowbrick offers CCS supervision and multiple opportunities to participate in professional development. Yellowbrick offers a competitive, starting wage of $15.00/hour with a shift differential for overnight shifts, and overtime pay opportunities.
