Stephanie Benson, MA, LMHCA, NCC

Kathi Baron, MS, OTR/L, MFA holds graduate degrees in Occupational Therapy and in Writing for Young Adults, and has been a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association for 40 years. She has experience in Behavioral Health with children, adolescents and adults; and also, developed and managed a rehabilitation program for injured workers. She’s written a variety of articles that are published in Occupational Therapy journals and texts. In 2009, WestSide Books published her first novel, Shattered. Kathi has also presented at state and national Occupational Therapy conferences and has guest-lectured in Occupational Therapy programs at: Cleveland State, Boston University, Midwestern University and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Over the years, she supervised occupational therapy fieldwork students and mentored occupational therapists. She has presented writing workshops to students K-12th grade, for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and to teachers of English at their national conference. She loves judging writing contests and has done so for the Northern Illinois High School Literary Contest and Mental Health America North Shore's Teen Essay Contest. Kathi is an avid baseball fan, loves cats, and reading.
