Jennifer Dunitz-Geiringer, JD, MSW joins the Yellowbrick community as the Education and Career Specialist after practicing employment law for nineteen years. Although she loved the law, Jen decided to pursue her true passion and transitioned into a career in mental health counseling. Jen has worked with children, teens and young adult populations at Haven Youth and Family Services in Wilmette and Jewish Children and Family Services/Response Center in Chicago. Jen completed a specialized training program in evidence-based mental health interventions with adolescents and transitional-aged youth at the Jane Addams School of Social Work, and authored a research paper on best practices for mental health centers on college campuses. Jen looks forward to helping Yellowbrick’s patients pursue meaningful educational and career opportunities, and to providing them with support as they explore new paths towards personal fulfillment.
Jen graduated with Honors from Northwestern University, and received her Juris Doctorate degree from the DePaul University College of Law. Jen obtained her MSW, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois/Jane Addams School of Social Work. Jen is currently a member of the American Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in Illinois. Jen is also on the Jewish Children and Family Services/Response Center’s Advisory Board. Jen is the mother of a teenage son and preteen daughter.
